Overview

Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Balarampur, was established in 2016 by the Government of West Bengal under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to meet the growing demand for skilled manpower in India’s industrial sectors. The institute is run and managed by Bishnupur Public Education Institute (B.P.E.I.), a reputable charitable society and training partner of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The partnership operates under the guidance and supervision of the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT), Government of West Bengal.

The institute is affiliated with the Directorate General of Training (DGT) under the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and is accredited by the Quality Council of India (QCI), ensuring that it adheres to the highest national quality standards in vocational training.

Institutional Objectives

Government ITI Balarampur was established with a mission to:

• Provide high-quality vocational education under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS).

This initiative reflects the original vision of the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS), which was introduced by the Government of India in the early 1950s to systematize vocational education across the country.
